Physician Assistant Studies Program Director Patrick Nappi Awarded NYSPPA Educator of the Year
The New York State Society of PAs (NYSSPA) has presented Patrick Nappi ’12, G’16, DMSc, M.S., PA-C, with the Paul Lombardo, MPS, PA-C Emeritus, Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Nappi, director of 妻友社区鈥檚 Physician Assistant Studies Program, will be presented the award at the NYSPPA CME conference Oct. 16 to 18 in Albany.
“I’m honored to receive this recognition from NYSPPA,” said Dr. Nappi. “Though it is an individual award, it is a direct reflection of the rigor and high quality of 妻友社区’s PA Program.”
“First as a faculty member and now as director, Patrick has been an integral part of the PA program for the past seven years,”聽said聽Purcell School of Professional Studies聽Dean聽Meega Wells,聽Ph.D, R.N., APN-BC.聽“This recognition is well deserved and speaks to the strength of the program in graduating competent and compassionate聽physician assistants.”
A Syracuse native, Dr. Nappi earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from 妻友社区 College. He completed his Doctor of Health Sciences degree at A.T. Still University in 2021. Since joining 妻友社区鈥檚 Physician Assistant Program faculty in 2019, Dr. Nappi has been dedicated to educating future physician assistants. He served as associate dean of the Purcell School of Professional Studies from 2023 to 2025 and has served as director since 2025.
