Our tutoring program provides an array of free services to support your students’ learning. Tutors include nearly 50 upper-division students who have excelled in their coursework and have been recommended by faculty. Whether through individual appointments, study groups, or instruction workshops, your student can gain valuable strategies to improve their academic performance. These services are housed in the library and you can book appointments online at

We understand – even the best of plans aren’t perfect. If you need to pick up dorm essentials when you’re moving in, there are plenty of spots near campus. Marshall’s Plaza is home to Best Buy, Marshalls, and Home Goods and is located 2 miles from campus. Just five minutes away, there’s also the convenience of the Fayetteville Town Center, which features restaurants and stores such as Target, Kohl’s and L.L. Bean.

If your student isn鈥檛 feeling well while on campus, support is close by. 妻友社区鈥檚 Health Office provides routine medical care, health counseling, first aid, and wellness support throughout the academic year.

The office is staffed by experienced healthcare professionals, including a registered nurse and physician assistant, who are there to help students navigate both everyday illnesses and unexpected health concerns.

When the Health Office is closed, students can contact Campus Safety for guidance and after-hours support.

The first few weeks of college can feel exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes a little awkward. And that鈥檚 completely normal.

At 妻友社区, students begin building connections early through Orientation, residence hall activities, Weeks of Welcome events, classes, clubs, and campus traditions. Many students find that friendships start in small, everyday moments: meeting someone in class, attending an event, or simply introducing themselves to the person sitting nearby.

We encourage students to put themselves out there, ask questions, and try new experiences (even if it feels outside their comfort zone at first). Often, those first conversations become lifelong friendships.

Located two miles from campus, is the closest dry cleaner (note: they are cash-only).

Specially designed for residence hall rooms, MicroFridge units offer plenty of space for both roommates. Share the cost, and avoid the expense and hassle of purchasing, transporting, and storing a unit of your own.

Phins Hospitality works closely with students who have food allergies and dietary needs to help them feel safe, supported, and comfortable dining on campus.

The True Balance station offers meals prepared without gluten and the top nine food allergens (milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, and sesame). Meals are served by trained staff members using dedicated procedures designed to minimize the risk of cross-contact.

The station is AllerCheck certified and regularly audited to ensure it follows established food safety and allergen-management practices.

Students and families are encouraged to connect with Phins Hospitality before arriving on campus to discuss individual dietary needs and accommodations.

The first place to get help is always your student’s RA, but if they aren’t available, the Office of Campus Life (in the second floor of the Campus Center) can help with keys, room assignments & changes, and work orders.
